Why doesn't God heal the Pope?

I am not sure if saying this will get me excommunicated or zapped by lightning, but maybe it is time for the Pope to step aside. Except for the fact that the Pope and myself see the Catholic Church as having different directions and objectives, I am pretty sure that he is a good guy. He is probably even doing what he thinks is moral. I have seen the Pope in person when I was a young kid at Living History Farms in Des Moines and I don't wish him ill will. But I ask, Why doesn't God heal the Pope?

Maybe it is a sign that his time has come. For what does the Pope continue to suffer? He is often unintelligible and has difficulty with everyday responsibilities. I understand the importance of his role to Catholics, but how do we know that he says everything he gets credit (or blame for on things like women's roles) for?

I am not even saying that the Pope has to die. Just that he should allow new leadership in the Church. Times have changed and I know that for the most part the Bible hasn't, but we were given the ability to reason and interpret. Maybe it is time we give someone else a shot to determine the Church's path.

That being said. I am pretty sure that I am going to hell now. Who's going with me?
